It's been teased, it's been partially leaked, but here it is in all its glory: the McLaren 650S.
McLaren boasts that this supercar is their, “fastest, most engaging, best equipped and most beautiful series-production supercar yet”. At its core, the new 650S is a harder-edged version of the current MP4-12C coupe and convertible. Power has jumped from 616-horsepower in the 12C, to 641-horsepower in the 650S. In metric horsepower, that translates to the 650 figure used in this car’s name. Like the other McLaren cars, the same powerplant is used, a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine.
You want performance figures? How about 0-62mph in 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 207mph? Small improvements on the 12C's stats (3.1 seconds and 204mph) they may be, but small improvements that keep the 650S just ahead of the Ferrari 458 Italia.
For those who haven’t seen any of the movies in the Harold and Kumar trilogy (and who hasn’t?), the Los Angeles-based, Seoul-born actor first caught the attention of audiences in the indie film, “Better Luck Tomorrow,” a chilling portrayal of high achieving Asian-Americans who lead parallel lives of crime. Cho went on to be cast in small parts in more mainstream films, playing “MILF Guy #2” in the “American Pie” movies where he brought the acronym into pop culture--much to the delight of millions of teenage boys. His fame grew when he landed the role of Harold in "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.” But the public really started to get to know Cho when he played the iconic Captain Sulu in the J.J Abrams reboot of “Star Trek”. Most recently, Cho is earning some major raves as a tortured and surprisingly hilarious demon servant Andy Brooke on the the freshmen hit Fox’s “Sleepy Hollow.” If that’s not enough, the 41-year-old is as a member of East West Players, an Asian-American theatre company in L.A and the lead singer for a rock band called Viva La Union. He does this in his supposed spare time, when he’s not busy looking after the two young kids, a son and an infant daughter, with his wife in LA.
YIt would be an understatement to say that Cho is a buy man. But that just means that if he makes the time to go and eat out, those restaurants better be worth it.
